 Why Mangroves Matter

Our tour will take you through the red mangrove forest, which plays a vital role in protecting coastlines, providing a habitat for countless species, and filtering the water around us. The red mangroves are easily recognizable by their distinctive prop roots, which grow out of the water, offering a safe haven for marine life like fish, crabs, and birds.

 What to Bring:

Refillable water bottle

Sunscreen

Wet shoes

Lightweight clothing

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about the vital role of these incredible trees in preserving our ecosystem and enjoy the breathtaking views of the mangrove tunnels.

Space is limited – Call the Ranger Station at 305-289-2690 or stop by to reserve your spot and experience the magic of the red mangroves firsthand!
